Jennifer Riggins: Could you please briefly introduce yourself and tell us what your business is about?

Christine Slocumb: Clarity Quest Marketing is a full-service marketing agency serving technology and healthcare companies. We offer everything from a full outsource marketing team to project-based services. Our core competencies are marketing strategy, messaging & branding, online marketing, website development, and advertising.

As for me, I’m the President of Clarity Quest. I started my career as an electrical engineer, then got really interested in the marketing of new technologies. So I worked in various marketing and project management roles in tech start-ups before I started the agency in 2001.

 

Jen: Why did you start it? What makes it unique?

 

 

Chris: I started Clarity Quest because, when I was running marketing departments in tech companies, it was really hard to find outside agencies that truly understood technology and complex products. Everyone employed in our agency lives and breathes technology or healthcare technology. We’re unique because we’re not lifetime agency folks. We were techies first and our senior consultants all ran marketing departments before they became consultants.

Chris: It’s never boring. Each of our 12 years in business has been unique and our clients are so varied. As a business owner and entrepreneur, it’s really fulfilling to start something and see it grow and to help other companies succeed.

 

Jen: How do you envision success?

 

 

Chris: Last year we doubled in size, so that was truly exciting! But more than revenue or growth, I view success as helping our clients to succeed and creating an agency in which everyone is truly excited to work each day.

Jen: How did you hear about Quote Roller? Why did you decide to try our app?

 

Chris: You caught my eye in an email blast. We’re a distributed agency with 3 offices across the U.S., and we needed a cloud-based proposal system that would gather all our information in one place. We were tired of re-creating the wheel every time we needed to send out a proposal.

 

Jen: How does Quote Roller help your business?

 

Chris: Quote Roller has dramatically reduced the time it takes for us to produce quality proposals. It also ensures our proposals are consistent throughout the agency.

Jen: What would you tell your friends about Quote Roller?

 

Chris: Quote Roller can definitely increase efficiency in the proposal preparation and creation process. And let’s face it, not many agencies like the act of creating proposals.
