Client Tales: WebSEOlogy on Flexibility in Sales & Having Your Own Business

Yes, yes, you see a trend. Most of our clients are some sort of mix of web design, graphic design and SEO. Which means chances are you are too. And if you’re not, well, you certainly don’t have to go further than our Client Tales or our Client List to get a top-shelf small team to help with any of your needs! (Plus, we really do have a LOT of clients that provide other services too, so, especially if you are among that creative boutique base and need other sorts of services.)

And with that, here today I present you with another great small business — WebSEOlogy. WebSEOlogy is really focused on doing whatever they can to retain a happy client, something we could all learn from. So let’s jump right in and focus on customer service!

WebSEOlogy summer moteJennifer Riggins: Could you please briefly introduce yourself and tell us what your business is about?

Summer Mote: I am the owner of WebSEOlogy (web•se•ol•o•gy). Webseology specializes in affordable, creative web design, logo design and SEO for small businesses.

Jen: Why did you start it?

Summer: I personally have been doing web design and SEO since 2005, but WebSEOlogy is still just a baby and under a year old.

Jen: What makes it unique?

Summer: I think what makes WebSEOlogy unique is the true eagerness to please it’s customers and produce an amazing product. We absolutely go above and beyond the call of duty and often times include a lot of freebies — I mean who doesn’t love free stuff!  Because we are a small company we understand the needs and struggles of other small businesses. We, therefore, have flexible payment plans in order to help companies with a smaller budget.

Jen: What do you love about being an entrepreneur?

Summer: Quite simply, I love the freedom – although I definitely put in more hours than I ever have at any previous job. I also love the ability to be creative in a field that I absolutely LOVE!

My background is in Finance. Ironically, web design barely existed when I was in college. I remember my professor telling us to “surf the web” and me being thoroughly confused. When I finally did figure it out, it took almost 20 minutes to download one page!!

Anyway, back to why I love the freedom aspect of being an entrepreneur. I worked for others for over 10 years in the finance industry. Although I learned a lot I always felt a little imprisoned. I was so creative and wanted to do so much more than limit myself to what “they” wanted me to do. I think I have always had an entrepreneurial spirit and am so fortunate I have or created the opportunity to “go for it”.

Of course, it hasn’t been all gravy, but business is picking up, and we have more and more happy customers to help spread the word. I have even added a couple kick-ass people to my team – included a social media expert.

WebSEOlogy Summer MoteJen: How do you envision success?

Summer: Quite simply, I envision success as a nice, large clientele list of super happy customers.

Jen: How did you hear about Quote Roller?

Summer: I wish I could remember how I heard about QR, but I am SOO glad I did (probably adwords or organic GOOGLE).

Jen: Why did you decide to try our app?

Summer: I needed help with proposals. I simply did not have the time to create and manage proposals on top of calling customers, creating web sites and SEOing the WebSEOlogy site along with my customers.

Webseology inbound marketingJen: How does Quote Roller help your business?

Summer: QR has literally closed deals for me! I think people are really impressed with the timeliness I am able to send my proposals and the professionalism of these proposals. I also think they like being able to keep everything digital – as it should be for a digital company like mine. I know I certainly like it –  when it comes to paper organization (filing) I certainly fall short, but my computer files on the other hand – PERFECTION!! 😉

Jen: What would you tell your friends about Quote Roller?

Summer: I would tell them if they are looking to eliminate time and stress wasted on creating individual proposals and then trying to keep track of which have been viewed, signed etc., then QR is the only way to go. It is super simple, easily customizable and is just a great way to keep track of one of the most important things in business – closing deals!

Jen: Have you seen any winning rate increases?

Summer: Because we are still growing we don’t have a huge amount of data to compare, but I can absolutely say there has been as increase in the ease of closing deals and certainly much less time on my end trying to keep track of the stage the proposals are in.
