Plus, we’ve got quite a few of them in Belarus and kin like kin. That’s why we are excited today to present to you another great web and graphic design studio, this time down under! Pixel Palace talks about the endless possibilities of being a startup and finding ways to make more time to do what you love to do.

Jennifer Riggins: Could you please briefly introduce yourself and tell us what your business is about?
Jennifer Jeavons: I’m Jen and I’m the creative director and founder of Pixel Palace. We’re a boutique web and graphic design studio based in Brisbane Australia. We specialize in custom designed WordPress and Adobe Business Catalyst sites.
Riggins: Why did you start it? What makes it unique?
Jeavons: I founded Pixel Palace in 2008. We have a niche market in developing beautiful and unique (if not slightly feminine) websites and branding. I think our attention to detail combined with technical understanding and staying up to date with current technology sets us apart.
Riggins: What do you love about being an entrepreneur?
Jeavons: I love owning my own time. I also love the endless possibilities for the future that Pixel Palace gives me. I like seeing the results of our hard work and passion.
Riggins: How do you envision success?
Jeavons: Working on jobs that truly make us happy and inspire us and being well aligned with the clients we work with. I love hearing happy client feedback. This feels like success!
Riggins: How did you hear about Quote Roller? Why did you decide to try our app?
Jeavons: We were researching ways to streamline our business as it was expanding rapidly at the beginning of 2013. I saw Quote Roller mentioned in a blog and did a trial.
Riggins: How does Quote Roller help your business?
Jeavons: It has cut down our quoting time massively (which was always a job I personally HATED!) Plus I have had client feedback on how “slick” our quote presentation was. So I think the fact that it’s all online is well matched with our business. The analytics also help us understand what parts people are focusing on in the quote which gives us insight to use in the sales closing process.
Riggins: What would you tell your friends about Quote Roller?
Jeavons: Give it a go! I’d also tell them to trial it for a couple of months. You really need to get some templates set up and content blocks to use before the true value of the system reveals itself. Now we’re up and running I wouldn’t want to go back!
Riggins: Have you seen any winning rate increases? Any other delightful numbers?
Jeavons: Yep – we’re now closing twice as many sales and our total sale $ value has gone up considerably.
